The hotel staff were friendly yet professional, and the breakfast service was superb - the dining room was quiet yet there were 4 or 5 staff on hand providing a speedy response to any requests. The cold table at breakfast offered an excellent choice in addition to the various cooked breakfasts which were available. The evening meal (which we opted to eat in the bar) was also reasonable value and the girl in the bar was very friendly and provided good information on the area.

The way we were treated by the staff especially by the lady who did everything but cook the food (she said) we were served really quick at meal times and I was most impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms. The bar staff were very attentive and the toilet area in the bar loungs was exceptional. This is a hotel that delivers great value for money and it is about the right size which provides customers with quality and I wished that I had been staying longer and would go back. The hotel is within walking disatnce from the train station which is great for travellers.

Excellent breakfast, Good room, pleasant and friendly staff and management in town centre close to everything.
Only on street parking, bar was very quiet in evenings, could be seen as overpriced for facilities provided.

Old, tired, not very clean, rooms up two flights of narrow stairs, single rooms converted from larger rooms with paper thin walls.

A very friendly welcome on arrival. The receptionist spent a long time checking local bus service times for us.It was a chilly evening but the room and public areas were lovely and warm. Dining room staff were very efficient and friendly. A large buffet selection at breakfast and excellent cooked meal. Spent only one night there but would definitely return. My wife said it was the best hotel bed she had ever slept in !

Very helpful reception staff. Very polite breakfast waiter.
In room 208 the window cannot be closed properly therefore the room is noisier and cooler than other rooms.

Good location and there is not so much choice in thurso for a good and stylish hotel.
The hotel was decent but very simple furnished and nothing special, old fashioned. For less money would be more attactive as budget hotel.
